Everywhere I go, I'm drinking tea: a cup of Yorkshire at home, a grande iced chai latte at Starbucks or a matcha at a health cafe. Hands down, sweet tea is my favourite version.

Last August, when I moved to Philly, I suffered so much because of the lack of sweet tea. Sometimes, I would see 'iced tea' on a menu and get a glimmer of hope, but the restaurant always served me Brisk. When I stopped in the Times Square McDonald's, I thought surely McDonald's of all places—renowned for its sweet tea—would have some. Once again, I was extremely disappointed.

To compensate for my lack of sweet tea during nine months of the year, I would drink ungodly amounts during breaks. The first I came home, during the week of Thanksgiving, I swear I could feel myself getting diabetes and my teeth rotting.

During summer break, my sweet tea consumption is more moderate. I've also been experimenting some. One of my favourite hot teas is lady grey; I love the added citrus notes. One day, the idea struck me to combine sweet and lady grey tea.

When I did so, it was delicious that I just have to share the recipe!

I usually use the sun tea method for making sweet tea. If you're unfamiliar with sun tea, it's the simplest method to brew tea. You simply add water and tea bags to a pitcher, then sit it outside for a few hours! Read more about the method below.

Enjoy!
